Let’s start with you do know you should improve when you go for “strength”. There are a lot of myths and BS going around, like “You need to have hard muscles to be strong.”, “You need to gain huge muscles for man strength.”, “Just do low reps Bro”, some people even told me “you need to put on fat”.
To be real, you need to jack up the efficiency of your Central Nervous System (CNS), in order to get better at recruiting high-threshold motor units which is fast twitch fibers. The CNS is very complex, has many components that make it up and each of them is integrated as one just to carry out one simple action. Even though it is complex, when working on the efficiency of your nervous system, you’re not building any new structure. Some argue that you learn new motor path ways to get stronger. Let us look at strength as a skill. So take strength as if you were learning a skill. Even though the CNS recovers relatively slower, especially since you’re not reconstructing anything, but you’re improving a path way you have, strength gains will be fast.
